$82,599.73 (48,680,751 FCFA) mobilized by the Burkinabè diaspora in the USA

Responding to the call of the Transitional Authorities, the Burkinabe diaspora residing in the USA initiated a fundraising campaign called: “Operation Mon Faso d'abord”.

This collection was made through its various associations and communities. It aims to bring the compassion and contribution of the diaspora to the war effort already made by the motherland affected by a double security and humanitarian crisis.

Launched in December 2022, Operation Mon Faso d'abord has raised $82,599.73 (48,680,751 FCFA) from associations, religious communities, NGOs, businesses and independent individuals who have spared no effort for the success of the operation.

The challenge is therefore met. The amount mobilized was directly transferred to the public treasury account provided for this purpose (provide receipt certificate and notice of receipts attached).

As a reminder, the Burkinabè diaspora had already carried out in 2020, a humanitarian project called "Don de Tous pour Tous" which made it possible to distribute food baskets of 20,000 FCFA to 800 internally displaced families in Kaya, Kongoussi, Fada, and Houndé.

In the same vein, it has already chartered (during April 2023) a container of biomedical equipment worth $400,000 or 240,000,000 FCFA to support the pediatrics department of the University Hospital Center (CHU) Sanou Souro in Bobo Dioulasso in collaboration with the beneficiaries.

Other projects are still in perspective to also support the Maternity and Pediatrics department of the Medical Center with Antenna (CMA) in Pissy.

The diaspora takes this opportunity to convey its thanks and gratitude to all those who have kindly shown compassion and solidarity with populations in distress through these contributions.
