Volleyball – African Men’s Club Championship: MS Boussalem champions, qualify for Club World Championship
The Tunisian club Mouloudia Sport Boussalem were crowned African champions of men's volleyball clubs and qualified for the Club World Championship in Brazil after defeating Egyptian Zamalek 3-2 (21-25, 22-25, 26-24, 25-23, 15-12), at a final game played on Sunday afternoon in Kelibia. This is a historic achievement for the Tunisian club, who have won the African championship for the first time in their history, following in the footsteps of Egypt's Al Ahly, who won the last edition. The Tunisians had qualified for the final, after defeating Cameroon's Port Douala 3-0 (25-21, 5-25, 25-18, 25-17), while Egypt's Zamalek SC knocked down Algeria's JSC Ouled Adouane 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-20).
