Villa bid farewell to ‘Boda Boda’ Magumba

KAMPALA.

There have been two comebacks from retirement for a player who willforever be adored by the club’s fans.

This time though there will be no third return as Hakim ‘Boda Boda’ Magumba bids farewell to SC Villa fans and the game in which he gained nationwide fame. Magumba’s testimonial will be played at Nakivubo Stadium.

The pint-sized midfielder has had three stints at the club having made his debut in 1998. Many of the players, who played alongside him in his first stint club are expected to take part including Edgar Watson, Hassan Mubiru and Andrew Mukasa.

Former Cranes captains Ibrahim Sekagya and David Obua are also expected to feature. Magumba played in one of the club’s most successful periods helping the side to seven straight league title between 1998-2004.

There will also be a curtain raiser game between a Fufa select side and sports journalists under their umbrella – Uspa.
