UVF returns beach volleyball after sailing to Africa Cup in Maputo

Uganda Beach Volleyball Commission is staging a National Beach Volleyball Tour at Lido beach, Entebbe this weekend to give its players platform to prepare for the forthcoming 2017 Africa Nations Cup in Maputo, Mozambique next month.

The beach volleyball commission chairman Mofaht Masaba said that the tour will be vital for Uganda to select one men and women team respectively to represent the country in Maputo next month.

Uganda had gone without beach volleyball for a year until fortnight ago when country hosted Africa zone five qualifiers where they picked silver(women) and bronze (men) to qualify for the 2017 Africa Nations Cup.

UVF expects to pick a pair from among Ivan Ongom, Emmanuel Kato, Dickens Otim for men and Peace Busingye, Margaret Namyalo, Eunice Nuwabigaba for women.
