Uhuru Travels to Uganda for State Visit (allAfrica.com)

President Uhuru Kenyatta Saturday afternoon travelled to Uganda for a three-day State visit.

He was accompanied by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on his first State visit to the neighbouring country.

Uhuru and his host President Yoweri Museveni are expected to hold bilateral talks on issues ranging from trade and regional integration to the shared values of economic prosperity for the people of the two countries.

The two leaders will also discuss the latest developments in South Sudan and review the situation in Burundi where President Museveni acted as mediator on behalf of the East African Community.

Uhuru will also meet the Ugandan business community and the Kenyan diaspora as well as address the Ugandan Parliament.

The plane carrying the President and his delegation departed Jomo Kenyatta International Airport shortly before 3.00 pm.
