KAMPALA, Dec 1 (NNN-NEW VISION) — Uganda’s annual inflation rate for November rose to 9.1 per cent from 8.8 per cent in October, according to the Uganda Bureau of Statistics.
Figures released by the bureau here Monday showed that monthly core inflation for November 2015 accelerated by 0.5 per cent compared with 0.1 per cent for October 2015.
Fuel, water and electricity prices increased by 7.9 per cent during the month compared with October.
Food items, clothing, shoes, rent and medical charges were the leading inflation drivers in Kampala district, the reports shows. — NNN-NEW VISION
