The President of the Republic, Omar Bashir, on Sunday met with the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, on the margin of the African Union Summit Meeting, and reviewed the bilateral relations between Khartoum and Kampala.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Professor Ibrahim Ghandour, told the Sudan News Agency SUNA that the meeting discussed, among other issues, the convening of the joint Sudanese Ugandan Committee, revealing a visit by the President of the Republic to Uganda shortly, at a date to be set through the diplomatic channels.
The President of the Republic has meanwhile received the President of the Central African Republic (CAR) where the two presidents discussed views on tri-lateral cooperation between the Sudan, Chad and the Central African Republic.
Professor Ghandour has pointed out in a statement to SUNA that the President of the Central African Republic has expressed his thanks and appreciation for the support being provided by the Sudan to his country, revealing that he would be visiting Sudan soon.
