Two head teachers posted to one school

Budaka: The Ministry of Education has posted two head teachers to the same school in Budaka District.

Ms Stelle Nambozo and Ms Esther Gidudu each arrived at Kamonkoli College with a posting letter signed by Mr Francis Agula from the Ministry of Education.

Ms Nambozo was formerly heading Bugambi Secondary school in Sironko District whereas Ms Gidudu was heading Kisoko Secondary School in Tororo.

But a section of the parents at the Anglican-founded school are opposed to Ms Nambozo, arguing that she is a Seventh Day Adventist who can’t govern the school.

This has prompted Bukedi Diocese bishop, the most Rev Bishop Egesa Bogere, to petition the ministry.

Mr Mbulaka Mwazia, the chairperson board of governors, said they will take the next step after getting a response to their petition from the ministry.

The District Education Officer, Mr Baker Lyadda, promised to follow up the matter.
