TANZANIAN PRESIDENT IN ENTEBBE FOR EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY SUMMIT

ENTEBBE, UGANDA-- Tanzanian President John Magufuli has arrived in Entebbe, Uganda, to attend the 19th East African Community (EAC) Heads of State summit being held on Friday.

The Head of State met his Ugandan counterpart, President Yoweri Museveni, who is also the EAC Chairperson, at the Entebbe State House shortly after his arrival here Thursday.

According to a statement released by the Directorate of Presidential Communications, the 19th EAC Summit is scheduled to take place in Kampala Friday.

President Magufuli was received upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport by Uganda's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sam Kutesa. He later headed to State House where he met President Museveni.

On Friday, President Magufuli will attend a special meeting on infrastructure and health along with other EAC Heads of States, before attending the 19th EAC Summit.
