Supply of Titao and Sollé: populations in joy

At least 125 trucks and around forty motorcycle taxis, loaded with food and various items, have supplied Titao and Sollé by land in recent days, arousing great joy among populations.

It was around 3 p.m. on Thursday March 30, 2023 that the first vehicles of the supply convoy set foot on Titao.

It was in an atmosphere of jubilation that they were welcomed by the inhabitants.

Immediately, jumbo jets and motorcycle taxis loaded with food and miscellaneous items began to unload their cargoes under the gaze of the people.

“This is the first time that a supply convoy has been so fast. Less than 4 hours of road between Ouahigouya and Titao since December 2021, it is a record”, rejoiced a witness on the spot.

For AB, a resident of the city, it is a real joy. “I am very proud of the efforts that have been made by the FDS and the VDP. I address my thanks to the governors and to all those who worked to set up the convoy. They really fought.”

As for KS, another resident, there is reason to praise God: “We thank God for this grace that the convoy has arrived safely,” she confided.

After Titao, part of the convoy set off the next day, March 31, 2023, towards Sollé, about forty kilometers to the north.

There too, according to witnesses on the spot, it was with joy that the populations welcomed the convoy.

The convoy of trucks, motorcycle taxis and motorcycles supported by units of the defense and security forces and volunteers for the defense of the homeland deployed on the ground, returned empty, to Ouahigouya, on the evening of Saturday 1st April 2023.

The last supply of products by land from Titao and Sollé dates back to January 20 and 23, 2023 respectively.

The province of Loroum is going through a difficult security situation that is about to be resolved.

The Combatant Forces, which are hard at work to liberate the province from terrorist pressure, are developing initiatives to supply the locality with food and other basic necessities.
