A study on the environmental and social repercussions of a project to build a 197-megawatt solar power plant on 303 hectares in El Hicha, Gabés, was at the heart of a public consultation conducted Thursday at the seat of the governorate.
The TND 600 million solar power plant is expected to generate 40 permanent jobs. Works are due to start by late 2023 and run over 18 months.
