SNC Bobo 2023: Overnight honors for contributors

Bobo-Dioulasso, The night of the partners of the 20th edition of the National Week of Culture (SNC) took place on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the Mgr Anselme-Titianma Sanon house of culture. The ceremony brought together government representatives, event partners, artists and administrative authorities.

The 20th edition of the National Culture Week (SNC) closes its doors today, May 6, 2023. After a week of cultural festivities, the organizers organized, on Friday, May 5, 2023, a special evening to honor the various partners who supported the event and contributed to its "success".

The evening began with a speech by the official sponsor, the General Manager of the Burkinabè National Lottery (LONAB), Ibrahim Ben Harouna Zarani, who thanked the National Organizing Committee (CNO) of the SNC for the mark of respect and trust because he did not hesitate to associate the image of his institution with this SNC.

He expressed his satisfaction as official sponsor of this cultural biennial. According to the Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, the contributions of various kinds from the various partners to this SNC amount to approximately three hundred million (300,000,000) CFA francs.

"Your contributions have enabled the National Organizing Committee to bear the multiple costs related to the organization of the SNC 2023", he addressed the partners. For him, this partners' night is therefore intended to be a place to testify the NOC's gratitude to all those who have contributed to the organization of this edition.

Chaired by the Chief of Staff of the President of the Transition, Captain Martha Celeste Anderson Dekomwin Medah, representing the Head of State, one of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of certificates of recognition to partners who have contributed to the success of the SNC.

Several of them were rewarded for their concern. These include Editions Sidwaya, LONAB, RTB, General Insurance, Ilitis, Ideal, Vimma, Total Energy, Canal Plus and the EBOMAF group, which was the sponsor of the evening.

The evening was also marked by artistic performances by local musicians and a fashion show featuring creations by local designers.

Before the start of the ceremony, the guests were invited to taste traditional dishes, prepared by local chefs, who highlighted the local cuisine of Burkina Faso.
