SNC Bobo 2023 off sets: King Abdallah Dossama and Sali Z celebrate with the public

Burkinabe musicians Le Roi Abdallah Dossama and Sali Z performed on Sunday April 30, 2023 night at Place Tiéfo Amoro in Bobo-Dioulasso, marking the opening of the off sets of the 20th edition of the national week of culture.

The off sets, one of the activities of National Culture Week (SNC) Bobo 2023 started on Sunday April 30, 2023 at several sites in Bobo-Dioulasso.

Dirty Z

At the Place Tiéfo Amoro located in front of the Bobo-Dioulasso railway station, two musical artists animated this first night in front of an audience mobilized for this purpose.

It is past 11 p.m. when Sali Z takes to the podium for a series of songs, notably Dounia, which talks about the difficulties of life.

"When we give you fish, it's good but learn to fish yourself, it's even better", she resumes in another song which invites everyone to work to be independent.

Sali Z, who got married in May 2022, ended his performance with his well-known song to the public "To each his Thursday".

The song invites young girls not yet married not to be discouraged but to remain confident because everyone has their Thursday (that is to say their wedding day).

Despite the calumnies, the criticisms, the gossip, the artist asks the young girls for patience and prayer until the big day, that of the wedding.

After Sali Z's performance, King Abdallah Dossama is announced by the presenter who invites the public to welcome the artist with the torches of their mobile phones on.

In a nocturnal environment, we then observe small points of light which sparkle to welcome the artist on stage.

Dressed in traditional Bôbô dress, King Abdallah Dossama begins his performance with a song that invites more humility in life because no one can be self-sufficient.

The artist leaves the stage to get closer to the public massed a few meters away to commune with her.

The artist's second song laments the disunity in families and in society.

King Abdullah Dossama

King Abdallah Dossama's performance ended with his well-known and popular song of hope “Zôgô Zôgô” which means “little by little in the Bôbô language”.

According to the artist, everything comes in its time, so you shouldn't be discouraged in life, whatever the difficulties of the moment.

The first album was released in 2006, the second in 2011, the third in 2017 and the maxi in 2019. "We started promoting the maxi and making clips," he said
