MASAKA: The director of Masaka Town College has said he will pay 50 per cent of the tuition fees for children who scored aggregate 4 in PLE and some orphaned children in Kyannamukaaka, Kabonera and Kyesiiga sub-counties.

Mr Magellan Kazibwe made the announcement last week in Kabonera Sub-county where he gave out three bursaries to football players in the tournament dubbed Kazibwe Cup which he sponsored.

He said the bursaries will be provided to those attending Masaka Town College from Senior One to Six. Mr Kazibwe, however, told parents to procure stationary and other scholastic materials for their children.

The school director also said he intends to contest for a parliament seat in the 2016 general elections. However, he did not disclose which political party he is aligned to. The area is represented by Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi.
