Over 550 athletes from the world throng Kampala 2017

A total of 553 athletes from 59 countries will compete in the IAAF World Cross Country Championships Kampala 2017.

Only UAE, Iraq and Turkmenistan which had confirmed participation are not among the countries while Egypt and Cameroon that were not among the preliminary entries are now on.

Uganda will have 33 male and female athletes competing, USA has entered 28 athletes, Eritrea 25, , Kenya and Ethiopia have entered 30 athletes, Canada 23 among other countries.

The final entry list will be approved after the technical meeting at Kololo Independence Grounds at 4:00pm on the eve of the competition March 25, 2017.
