The number of Tunisian hirees overseas under technical cooperation was up by 17% to 1,139 from January 1, 2023 till April 30 compared to the same period in 2022, said the Tunisian Technical Cooperation Agency (ATCT). 779 Tunisian hirees joined their posts during the same period, 430 of whom are in the medical and paramedical sectors. ATCT received during the same period, 29 recruitment offers from several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Canada and France. As such, the overall number of Tunisian guest workers rose to 23,425, over 60% of whom (14,286) work in Arab countries, against 5,464 in Europe and 2,545 in the Americas. The number of of applicants for jobs abroad currently stands at over 22,000, the same source added.
