Noureddine Ben Ayed was elected president of the Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fisheries (UTAP) following the elections held Thursday during the 17th conference of UTAP in Tabarka, Jendouba.
Ben Ayed received 80 votes, against 51 votes for his competitor Anis Kherbash.
The conference, involving 430 participants, kicked off on Monday, May 8 in Tabarka, in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources and several representatives of national organisations
