The national consultation on education reform will be available online as of next June, after the end of the main session of the 2023 baccalaureate exam, Education Minister Mohamed Ali Boughdiri announced on Saturday. Speaking at the 1st forum of reflection on education, organised in Tunis at the initiative of the Tunisian Association for Education Quality in partnership with the Centre for Economic and Social Studies and Research, the Minister pointed out that the consultation would cover all levels of study, from pre-school to higher education. It will focus, first and foremost, on identifying the problems that have led to a drop in standards and to 100,000 pupils dropping out of school every year, the he pointed out. Boughdiri underlined in this regard, the need to combat school drop-out, which has disastrous negative repercussions such as extremism, irregular migration and other risky behaviours.
