Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo invites festival-goers, artists and the Bobol population to take ownership of the SNC 2023

The Minister in charge of Culture Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo invites in the columns of the daily Sidwaya this Friday, all festival-goers, all artists and all the population of Hauts-Bassins to s appropriate National Bobo Culture Week 2023 for its success.

“The message to all festival-goers, to all artists, but also to the entire population of Hauts-Bassins and Bobo-Dioulasso, is to take ownership of this SNC,” said Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo in the daily. Sidwaya from this Friday.

According to him, "This SNC will only be a success if the populations, the festival-goers and the artists appropriate the edition because it is theirs".

Minister Ouédraogo underlined that "the government has only decided to organize it (the SNC), to put the means at the disposal of the organizing committee, but those who will make the SNC are the artists, are the festival-goers, they are the populations”.

“We are going to ask that Bobo-Dioulasso once again show off its hospitality in order to give a warm welcome to all who come to this beautiful city of Sya,” he said.

The 20th edition of National Culture Week (SNC) Bobo 2023 is being held in a difficult security context. For this, the commission in charge of security issues has issued instructions.

The Minister of Culture therefore asks "the understanding of all those who will be there for the SNC to strictly respect these instructions". He also invites them “to collaborate because security is not just the business of the Defense and Security Forces alone”.

“Finally, I call on all festival-goers, artists and populations to respect safety and health instructions (…). That any citizen, any festival-goer who will notice something suspicious, can give the information, approach the security services who will know how to take care of it, ”he advised.

The 28th edition of the SNC 2023 scheduled from Saturday April 29 to Saturday May 6, 2023 in the cultural capital of Burkina Faso, Bobo-Dioulasso, will take place under the theme “Cultural diversity, ferment of national unity”.
