A VDP patrol neutralized yesterday Sunday, 12 terrorists in the department of Nouna and recovered equipment, the AIB learned Monday from security sources.
A municipal VDP reconnaissance patrol was ambushed on Sunday April 16, 2023 around 5 p.m. on the axis going to Tonkoroni, in the Nouna department.
Thanks to the responsiveness of the VDPs, the enemy was defeated and 12 terrorists were killed.
Important materials were recovered from the aggressors, including four motorcycles, an AK42 rifle, 6 AK42 chargers, 2 12-gauge rifles, 4 transmitters, 1 receiver, 1 solar plate and many other materials.
The VDPs registered an injured person, evacuated to Dédougou for appropriate care.
