Indiscipline rocks Victoria University


Kampala: SC Victoria University Head Coach Morley Byekwaso has urged the remaining players in his camp to believe they can get a result against Congolese side Don Bosco after being hit by yet another case of indiscipline.

The university side for the third time in 10 days suspended one of the club’s senior players. Enigmatic forward Mike Sserumaga was the culprit after he missed the team meeting on Sunday evening. The Cranes international allegedly sneaked out of the team residence at Obel Hotel in Bweyogerere and returned under the influence of alcohol.

But Byekwaso, also a former Cranes midfield gem, believes he still possesses a quality squad capable of picking a positive result in Lubumbashi. “We still have a strong squad,” said the youthful tactician. “The players just need to believe in themselves and then they will be able to execute the game plan.

Sserumaga is expected to miss the first leg of the team alongside Denis Guma and Savio Kabugo, who were also suspended for missing training last week.
