Lately, I have heard a lot of comments that corporates are broke. Mbu the new version of campusers are the corporates. Last Sunday, I was compelled to hang out with these corporates at the famous Fusion Auto Spa in Munyonyo, Kampala. Yes, it was one heck of a cold, chilly and drizzly Sunday.
I was shocked by the number of vehicles that were parked outside the premises. This hangout has a washing bay, a massage parlour and a bar. So the number of cars explained it all. Revellers were quite many, chatting and laughing their lungs out as they paused in between conversations to sip on their cold or warm drinks.
As I sat back on a tall crafted stool just by the counter, I watched these corporates (in casual kaki shorts and polo tees – Sunday attire) order for quite a good number of beers. I had never been to a place where chaps drink this much on a Sunday. To me, the maximum a reveller can have on a Sunday is just one or two beers, lest they suffer a serious hangover on a busy Monday morning.
The music was laid back. It suited the Sunday chill back mood. Oldies dominated the playlist as the deejay seemingly did not do much but play a nonstop to entertain the already happy revellers. Beers cost Shs5,000 and the decently dressed waiters were swift to serve, with a convincing and charming smile.
The loos are not so bad, since they are kept clean except for the constantly wet floor.
The parking is spacious so this hang out is a good wager for a Sunday chill out.
