Fuba organises trial games for national sides

KAMPALA.
Coaches Mande Juruni and Timothy Odeke will have the final chance to try out new combinations for the Silverbacks and Gazelles respectively when they come up against select sides at YMCA today.

The national men and ladies’ teams are preparing for the Fiba Africa Zone V Nations Championships that will run for a week starting Sunday at the Lugogo MTN Arena.
The trial games will come in handy particularly for Juruni, who will have the chance to look at the Sweden-based pair of Samuel Mukooza and Kassim Nagwere who were expected in the country late last evening.

The pair last featured domestically in a warm-up game in June shortly after it was announced that the regional tournament had been postponed to this month.
John Balwigaire is meanwhile expected to arrive today although it is highly unlikely that he will feature in the game. The national teams trained from Butabika last night.
