ENTEBBE, UGANDA, Ethiopia and Uganda have signed co-operations agreements in the fields of women's and children' affairs and in youth and sports activities.
The agreements were signed in Entebbe, Uganda, Thursday following discussions on bilateral and regional issues between visiting Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
They also exchanged views on ways of implementing previously signed agreements.
At a joint media conference following their discussions, the two leaders said they would work for the implementation of the agreements.
Noting that ties between the two countries are strong, Prime Minister Hailemariam said the visit would add momentum to further enhancing relations.
He added that the two countries would continue to work together to ensure peace and stability in Somalia and South Sudan. Hailemariam said they would extend support to the newly elected government in Somalia.
President Museveni expressed his country's desire to co-operate in trade and investment with Ethiopia, which he said had shown progress in the textiles and leather industries.
