The Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, Apollinaire Joachimson Kyelem de Tambela arrived yesterday Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in Caracas, Venezuela, as part of a work and friendship visit.
The Burkinabè Head of Government was greeted on his descent from the plane, at Simon Bolivar International Airport, by the Minister of People's Power in charge of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil and the Deputy Minister in charge of Africa, Yuri Chilli.
During his stay, Apollinaire Joachimson Kyelem de Tambela will meet several Venezuelan officials including members of government and presidents of institutions.
In his agenda, the Prime Minister will talk about strengthening cooperation between the two countries, in strategic sectors such as agriculture, the exploitation of mineral resources, basic and higher education, health, culture, and defense.
In addition, the visit of the head of the Burkinabè government to Caracas will be an opportunity to celebrate, on Thursday, May 11, 2023, the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Burkina Faso, through a wreath laying of flowers in honor of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, in the presence of the African diplomatic corps accredited in Caracas.
The Prime Minister, Apollinaire Joachimson Kyelem de Tambela will also meet, on Friday May 12, 2023, students from Burkina Faso participating in the Fundayacucho Program.
