Burkina Faso calls on the international community to lift sanctions against Venezuela

The Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, Me Me Apollinaire Joachimson Kyelem de Tambaèla has called on the international community to lift the sanctions that are hampering the socio-economic development of Venezuela.

Within the framework of the political dialogue, the Prime Minister, Me Apollinaire Joachimson Kyelem de Tambèla, on a visit to Caracas, regretted the sanctions taken against Venezuela.

He called on the international community to lift them, as they hinder the socio-economic development of this country.

The first Venezuelan officials, for their part, congratulated the country of honest men, for the considerable efforts that it continues to make to ensure peace and security, within the framework of the fight against terrorism and the implementation policies for the well-being of the people of Burkina Faso.

At the invitation of the Venezuelan Government, the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, Me Apollinaire Joachimson Kyelem de Tambèla, made a friendly and working visit to Caracas, Venezuela, from May 9 to 15, 2023.

This visit is part of the strengthening of relations of friendship and cooperation that bind Burkina Faso to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding relating to the establishment of a consultation mechanism between Burkina Faso and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, signed in New York on January 22, 2010.
