Burkina Faso and Mali must work together to contain terrorism , said the Secretary General of the Ministry in charge of Foreign Affairs of Mali, Ambassador Seydou Coulibaly, who announced that a joint commission to fight against this scourge .
“ Burkina Faso and Mali are facing security challenges, hence the importance for our two countries to work together to contain this scourge. The conclusions are that in terms of defense we will have to see how our two armies can pool resources and efforts to fight against terrorism”, indicated the Secretary General of the Ministry in charge of Foreign Affairs of Mali, Ambassador Seydou Coulibaly.
Mr. Coulibaly, spoke Thursday in Ouagadougou on leaving the audience with the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, Me Apollinaire Kyelem de Tambèla.
The Malian authority went "to report on the conclusions of our preparatory work to the Mali-Burkina Faso joint commission to be held in Bamako in early July 2023".
For him, the two countries must also strengthen their consultation frameworks between the two foreign ministries "so that we can carry our voice together on the international scene".
According to the Malian diplomat, the first Burkinabè gave them guidelines and also asked them to "move from words to deeds".
