Burkina: An association teaches children to be useful to themselves and to parents

The Association ''la Relève'' organized last Wednesday, in Ouagadougou, an outing based on educational themes, for the benefit of children, in order to prepare them to be useful to them- themselves and their parents.

“Teenagers need to listen very well to parents. Parents are their companions who will allow them to live a long life and practice the trade or profession they want in order to be useful to themselves, to the country and to the whole world”, he indicated.

For Mr. Simporé, parents must be much more present with children because adolescence is the transition phase where it is necessary to consolidate their dreams.

The president of the Association ''la Relève'', Panwendtaore Zongo, underlined that the choice of themes is explained by the fact that children are vulnerable and exposed to the evils of society.

“In this phase of adolescence, children experience all possible deviations. There is sexual deviance, banditry and drug use,” he noted.

Mr. Zongo said he is doing preventive work to help them avoid the traps that will be set for them and that could destroy their lives forever.

“Parents are afraid that their children will go off the rails and the children also want to gain autonomy, so there is a battle between parents and teenagers. We want to teach teenagers to always respect parents,” he continued.

As for children aged 3 to 11, Mr. Zongo said that the interest is to bring children to love the work entrusted to them at home and at school but also to do the work well. given.

This outing, according to the president of ''la Relève'', is to allow children to have fun and also to transmit them values that will accompany them throughout their lives.
