Burkina: A day of fasting and prayer on May 20 for peace

The Burkinabè government announced this Wednesday, a national day of fasting and prayer for peace and social cohesion, on May 20, 2023.

The announcement is made in the Council of Ministers, held this Wednesday, by the Minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralization and Security.

According to the minutes of the government meeting, "this day aims to bring together all Burkinabè without distinction of religion or belief in a communion of prayer for a rapid and definitive return to peace in Burkina Faso"
