Boulsa: Civil society organizations in Nametenga support the transition

Members of the Mouvement force vive du Namentenga (MFVN) organized, on Saturday in Boulsa, in the province of Namentenga, Center-North region, a meeting to support the transition, but also to interpellate him on the question of the development of the province.

According to the Secretary General of the MFVN, Ousmane Korgo, the demonstration aimed to show the solidarity of the population with the government, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) engaged in the fight against terrorism.

He said that it was also a question of inviting the government to look into the security system in the province, to provide the Movement's support for the war effort and to comfort the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). of the province.

As a contribution, the movement offered 100,000frs to IDPs, 100,000frs to VDPs and 300,000frs as a contribution to the war effort.

The SG recalled that all eight provincial communes were attacked and that the human victims as well as the material damage were significant.

Ousmane Korgo noted that the Armed Terrorist Groups (GAT) are currently at the gates of the six sectors in the commune of Boulsa.

For his part, the president of the communal youth council, Sawadogo Jean Paul asked the youth of the area to leave the ranks of the GAT and lay down their arms.

The representative of customary leaders, Naba Guignpoolé de Saongo, meanwhile, transmitted the commitments made by the President of Faso in favor of Namentenga.

The demonstration was supported by the collective of Pan-Africanist movements strongly represented on this occasion and which offered a drill to the province.

On the occasion, the leader of the collective of pan-Africanist movements, Mohamed Sinon challenged the youth on the importance of pan-Africanism.

The Mouvement force vive du Namentenga (MFVN) was created on February 26, 2023 with the aim of supporting the authorities in the fight against terrorism in the province.
