Baryamureeba to campaign in markets

KABAROLEKYENJOJO- Independent presidential candidate, Prof Venacious Baryamureeba, has resorted to take his campaigns to work places, shifting from the traditional public rally style many politicians in this race use.

“I am targeting the trading centres, market places and radio stations to do my campaigns where many people can access my message. There is no need of going to villages,” Baryamureeba told journalists at Tooro Royal Cottages in Kyenjojo Town on Friday.

Prof Baryamureeba has used this style of campaign in the districts of Kyenjojo, Kabarole, Ntoroko and Bundibugyo.

He also addressed the people at Kyenjojo Central Market, where he promised to build good schools and create cooperative societies.

“Once elected president, I will equip hospitals, build more good schools and create cooperative societies at sub-county level and find employment for the youth,” Prof Baryamureeba said.

Those who attended his mini rallies promised to support him but others kept busy with their daily businesses in the markets.

Others kept murmuring that he had interrupted their businesses.

Prof Baryamureeba would spend about 10 minutes in a place, before proceeding to another trading centre or market.
