Assoc. Prof. Peter Waiswa Discusses Ugandan State of Maternal & Neonatal Health on NBS TV

While 85000 lives (6000 mothers, 39000 newborn deaths, and 40000 stillbirths) are lost during pregnancy, around the time of delivery and in the post-delivery period every year, it does not make breaking news in Uganda. Why these so many deaths yet we know where and why they are happening and have the right policies in place to tackle them? Prof Peter Waiswa of Makerere University School of Public Health shares his thoughts on NBS TV in an interview that aired on June 30, 2019.
