The Basic Education District of Zorgho organized on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, the closing of its sports and cultural activities 2023 edition.
From 8 am, the Kambambori “A” school in Zorgho hosted competitions in traditional dances to close the cultural section. In front of thousands of students, teachers and educational supervisors, troupes from eight schools competed in talent under the watchful eye of a jury.
At the end of the performances, the troupe of the school of Nabmayaoghin with its warrior dance is declared first of this edition. It is followed by the “maransé” troupe from the Kambambori “A” school and then the “warba” troupe from the Imiga school.
The Head of the constituency, Raogo Jean Claude Ouédraogo was delighted with the holding of this activity.
He praised the efforts made by teachers and partners in the acquisition of traditional musical instruments.
However, he invited them to exert more effort in handling them and hoped that all schools would take part in cultural activities next year.
The big closing ceremony was held in the evening and was marked by the football final.
