Mountain Dew has launched an engaging and exciting countrywide campaign dubbed the ‘Mountain Dew Xtreme Xperience Tour.’
The campaign kicked off last month and went into full gear with bashes in some parts of western Uganda. This weekend, the action heads east to Mbale, in Naboa street, on Friday and Soroti on Saturday at Soroti grounds. All events kick off at 9am going all the way to 7pm, and entrance is free.
Top musicians and DJs will entertain the people. From the East, the tour will head to Northern Uganda. The activations will also be spiced up with other ‘extreme’ items such as skateboarding, rollerblading and video gaming, among others.
Motocross will be the flagship activity of the tour, with experienced motocross riders, Michael Ntaro and Ahmed Tamale performing extreme stunts including free styling, jumps, spins, short races, and wheelies. According to a press statement from the organisers, Crown Beverages Limited – makers of Mountain Dew – has invested Shs 400m in the tour.
It is aimed at engaging the youth and inspiring them to be bold, aenturous, daring and living their lives to the fullest. Last year, Mountain Dew rolled out the Xtreme Gamers Tour that attracted over 5,000 video-gamers and rewarded hundreds with prizes worth Shs 100m. The winner at the grand finale, held in November, walked away with Shs 5m.
