Under the tagline Ciroc Night in Vegas, the party was held at the Industrial area-based Club Guvnor. The organisers went out of their way to put up an impressive set. The chiselled muscle men and smiling ushers in shiny blue little dresses welcomed guests to the red carpet.
The red carpet was decorated with playing cards while the giant dice and numbered arches similar to what is seen on roulette tables were enough to raise anticipation about what was waiting inside. Inside were poker tables and slot machines. The guests who knew their way around them made themselves busy as the rest sipped away on vodka.
The other attraction of the night was the ‘mixologist’ Denzel Heath, a cocktail expert flown in from South Africa. The ‘cocktailarian’, as they are called in some parts of the world, is known for his blend of Ciroc Vodka with a touch of lemonade or cranberry juice. It is not only about his recipe but the flair with which he did it that kept guests glued to the bar.
His juggling of the bottle enhanced the overall experience. The night’s other performer was former Obsessions singerdancer Sheebah Karungi. There is no doubt that she is an all-round entertainer and her new single Ice Cream is ruling the airwaves.
However, she could have chosen a better costume for a Vegas themed night. Instead, she came looking like a samba dancer at the carnival in Rio de Janeiro.
This is the second party of the series to be hosted in some of Kampala’s party spots, the first one having taken place at Club Venom in Kabalagala. The sponsors are aiming at bringing a new dimension of partying to the night scene.
