Last Saturday Viola Lutaaya, a firstborn in a family of four girls, officially introduced David Lubwama her engineer fianceacute, to her parents. Viola is a banker with Standard Chartered.
A very prayerful person, Viola formed a prayer group at St Augustine’s chapel Makerere University to pray for a rightful marriage partner, one of her group members revealed.
“I thank God for Viola. We prayed, fasted and here we are now seeing the fruits of prayers,” Isaac Lwasa said.
HOW THEY MET
Viola met David in a restaurant along Kampala road, where both had gone to have lunch a year ago. David described his bride as beautiful, loving and open-minded with mature reasoning.
The function started at 2pm, with David arriving with about 30 guests at the newly-constructed family home on the hills of Kabulengwa, Naluvule-Nasaana. At the four-hour function, David made his in-laws proud by presenting them with an 8,000-litre water tank, 41-inch plasma TV and a DStv decoder, among other gifts.
He said due to the water issues at the top of Kabulengwa hill, the water tank was the best gift he could present to his in-laws. And Viola has all reasons to celebrate, seeing as on August 29, 2015 she will exchange church vows with the man God brought her way through prayer.
