University Students to Get Govt Scheme

The ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Sports will soon start a scheme for university students who make innovations during the course of their studies.

Education Minister Jessica Alupo said the scheme would be open to university students seeking to start businesses out of their innovations.

Those likely to benefit in the interim are those in the sciences, particularly computer science, engineering, agriculture and nutrition. The scheme, open to students at all universities, is independent of the two existing incubation schemes at Makerere University.
