Undercover Brothers to Be Re-Unveiled

While on the Tusker Project Fame stage, The Undercover Brothers duo of Kirya and Malungi became famous more for their looks than their vocal skills.

But as fate would have it, their stint on the show didn’t last long as they got booted out early. Some even believed we were seeing the last of them. How wrong we were. It seems they came back to Uganda, and instead of frowning and hating the country for not voting enough for them, they ventured into rediscovering themselves.

This is what makes tomorrow’s show at Alliance Franccedilaise in Kamwokya special the unveiling of the Undercover Brothers. Slated to start at 8pm, the show will be the boys’ debut concert, though not their first gig since the TV show.

They have had a rollercoaster journey, appearing on different platforms such as the Laba street art, Bayimba International Festival of the arts, World Music day, Pearl Rhythm festival as well as sharing a stage with the likes of Myko Ouma, Maurice Kirya, Joel Sebunjo, Eric Wainaina and, more recently, the legendary Kaz Kasozi.

The duo that first met and grew out of the Coca-Cola Rated Next talent search plays world music and soft reggae with a fusion of RnB. The boys will be getting support from former TPF contestants Bior from South Sudan and Uganda’s Kojjo. Also performing will be emcee and poet Jungle de Maneater.

Tickets are being sold at Shs 20,000.
