Somali Alshabaab Suspects Wait for Trial in Kampala Pending Investigations

The Ugandan public prosecutor, Edward Muhumuza said investigations pending for Somali Alshabaab suspects are at final stages.

Those suspects are currently being held at the central prison of Luzira in Kampala. He informed the judges at Buganda Law Court that police will soon finalize the investigations of those Alshabaab suspects. He said once the investigations are completed all their information will be handed in to the court. He added that the suspects will be held in remand till the 21st of this month.

Those suspects of Somali origin were picked by police in September following swoops by Ugandan security forces in Kampla’s Kisenyi neighbourhood.
