Swedish beauty products company Oriflame Cosmetics, has appointed Uganda’s re-known singer Juliana Kanyomozi to represent the brand across Uganda. Kanyomozi will be doing this in conjunction with two other celebrities Lady Jaydee and Jamila Mbugua who will represent the Oriflame brand in Tanzania and Kenya respectively.
Oriflame East Africa Managing Director Klas Kronaas while commenting on the appointment said, “Juliana Kanyomozi,
Lady Jaydee and Jamila have been named because of their style and approach to beauty which is the ideal representation for the Oriflame brand. They are g and talented women who many people across East Africa readily identify with,” said Kronaas.
The Oriflame East Africa Head of Marketing and Sales Support, Harry Njagi said the three brand ambassadors will feature in Oriflame’s product Catalogues, and will also be engaged in selected brand events to represent the Oriflame brand throughout the year 2014. The partnership will also extend to joint Corporate Social Responsibility activities with the celebrities as well.
“Our products inspired by nature are very popular with women of all ages across East Africa, especially owing to the fact that we have the widest range in personal care and the signing of these three passionate women is expected to deepen our market access and increase our brand visibility,” said Njagi.
Uganda’s Juliana is a well known musician, actress and entertainer who since 2009, has graced East African TV screens as one of the Judges of the Tusker Project Fame. Oriflame, which celebrated its 5th anniversary last December, has designated the next 3 years as a period of rapid growth as the company consolidates its East African operations and plans to expand to other African markets.
