Kabalagala was the place to be last Friday evening as Tirupati Mazima mall sealed its place as the latest clubbing hotspot.
Club Cyclone finally made its arrival on the entertainment scene – as the second club on the building – with the other being Club Venom. It was a red-carpet affair that attracted partygoers from all walks of life. And they were buzzy, laughing and upbeat, perhaps because of the excitement of a new hangout or because of what was lined up that night.
Doors opened as early as 8pm, but as it’s the norm for nightclubs, revellers kept coming in big numbers as late as 1am when the cake cutting was done by musicians Cindy and Navio. Thereafter, both musicians entertained revellers until the wee hours.
Club Cyclone is almost structured like the traditional top clubs in the city – with a plush VIP section, dance floor and an extensive bar. There is also an outdoor terrace sited next to a ‘mini casino’ or call it a gambling room. This perhaps explains why the club also appeals to the Asian community.
