One killed in Nakasongola bus accident, scores injured

One person has been reported dead and seven others survived with serious injuries in a motor accident that occurred this morning in Nakasongola district.
The accident occurred when a Gulu-bound bus rammed into a stationary truck at Kyampisi along the Kampala- Gulu highway.
Savannah region police spokesperson, Mr Lameck Kigozi says the injured have been rushed to Nakasongola and Mulago hospitals for treatment.
Mr Kigozi says the cause of the accident is yet to be established and that they are still hunting for the truck and bus drivers who are on the run.
The development comes in wake of police warnings against over speeding and reckless driving during this festive season.
