NRM youth accuse leader of misusing Shs30 million

Rakai

The Rakai District NRM youth chairman, Mr Joseph Kaggwa, has been accused by his subordinates of misusing Shs30 million that was reportedly given to him by President Museveni for passing on to them.

The angry NRM youth under their umbrella organisation, Rakai Yellow Brigade, questioned Mr Kaggwa over the money which they say was a deposit from Shs900 million that was promised by Mr Museveni.

Many of them accused Mr Kaggwa of having used it to overcome personal problems because he allegedly never organised any meeting to tell the youths that he had received the money.

However, Mr Kaggwa refuted the allegations and said he made the President’s donation well known.
“This is money that is bound to attract profit and I could not just give it out to individuals that were not ready to use it profitably,” Mr Kaggwa explained.
