Mubs host defending champs Kampala University

KAMPALA. When the two teams met last year, Makerere University Business School (Mubs) came from behind to hold Kampala University (KU) to a 2-2 draw and lost the second leg 3-2.Today, Mubs will seek revenge when they host KU at Nakawa in the Nile Special University Football League. The former are currently third in Group A with three points, three behind leaders Uganda Christian University (UCU). KU are second on four points.Although Mubs will have been boosted by their recent victory over Makerere University, Coach Charles Ayiekoh is not taking KU lightly.

“We cannot afford to be complacent,” Ayieko said. “Every game is crucial and we shall need maximum concentration.”For KU Coach, Vincent Tumusiime, the trip to Nakawa will be a challenge. “The team is new and we have not had enough time training together,” explained Tumusiime.

“But we have been working on that and you will see a better performance. Mubs has always had a strong team but if we get our tactics right and the boys play as I have told them, we shall definitely come away with a result.”

The reigning champions have been struggling this season and recently laboured to defeat Uganda Martyrs University last week at Villa Park.
