MTN Uganda Gets New Boss

Mazen Mroue, MTN Uganda’s chief executive officer, is to leave the company and take up another assignment within the group, becoming the new chief operations officer of MTN Irancell, according to a company statement.

Brian Gouldie, who has been the chief marketing officer of MTN South Africa, is set to become the new chief executive officer of MTN Uganda.

Sifiso Dabengwa, MTN Group President and CEO, said in the company statement: “We are delighted that we are able to fill these executive management positions from within our leadership ranks, in line with our leadership development strategy.”

Gouldie has served in different capacities at the group, including chief consumer sales and distribution officer, customer operations executive, and general manager, distribution and fulfillment. He studied at the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
