Mpigi tables Shs21.1 billion budget


Mpigi District has proposed Shs21.4b budget for the financial year 201516 with special focus on widening the revenue tax base.

Mr Joseph Mutabaazi, the district secretary for finance, who presented the budget on behalf of the district chairperson, said their priority will be on widening the revenue tax base and strengthening efforts to enforce revenue collection.

He said he district will also pay special attention to delivery of minimum health package, provision of sustainable safe water and sanitation facilities, rehabilitation and maintenance of rural feeder roads and strengthening delivery of education services for high quality education standards.
