Movie Review – 22 Jump Street, Here to Jump You

The trio that thrilled you two years ago, Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum and Ice Cube, in 21 Jump Street, are back on the big screen, this time with more pomp, aenture and crazy tricks.

I have watched the trailer and it truly cracks a rib. The undercover cops have to change streets, thus the title 22 Jump Street. After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt and Jenko [Tatum and Hill, respectively] when they go deep undercover at a local college.

But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship.

If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them. Sequels might be some of the hardest movies to pull off, since one has to maintain elements from the first movie, but 2014 has not disappointed yet on any of them.

Will this be the first? You can find out this evening at The Hub where the movie will be showing.
