Meet Safari Cruiser, the Terrain Challenger

For over a decade, engineers at the South African-based RSA Limited have been fine-tuning a machine that embodies the key values of a wild safari – reliability, safety and comfort.

After what Tanveer Dhillon, from RSA’s Kenya branch, calls a gruelling struggle, the outcome became a beauty to watch. RSA came up with a conversion of the regular Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series (pickuphard top) into a 10-seater, all-terrain, 4×4 vehicle.

“For many people who have used it, it is more than just a 4×4 vehicle,” says Dhillon while speaking at the recent Uganda International Tourism Expo held at the Uganda museum. “It is also a business investment and an asset.”

With the ability to carry up to 10 passengers in total comfort, driving through the harshest of terrains, the Safari Cruiser has so far proven itself to be the workhorse and bread-earner for hundreds of tour operators across Africa, according to Dhillon.

The vehicle has been delivered and used by operators in numerous countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Namibia, Angola, South Africa, Botswana and even countries in the Middle East.

What makes this vehicle remarkable is not only its 4.2 litre diesel engine but the dual air conditioning system, the angle outdoor refrigeration and the pop-out and driver roof hatches. It offers very comfortable bucket seats with adjustable head rests and reclining arm rest. When coupled with its ample leg room, it makes for a very smooth ride, even when it is off-road.

Dhillon believes the greatest strength of the vehicle lies in its in-depth engineering which came about as a result of continuous research and development and the resultant improvements.

Special features of the Safari 7X 2015

Highly engineered to reduce body weight, maintenance and improve vehicle durability for achieving the highest level of vehicle operational efficiency.

Better fuel consumption, giving it more mileage.

RSA Safari Cruisers have a proven track record spanning over a decade, serving customers needs from all backgrounds, from corporate to specialised users such as tour and mining operators, anti-poaching units to NGOs.
