Makerere students ought to learn a thing or two about banter

MAKERERE. Last week we did give a bonquet of flowers to Makerere Business School (Mubs) Nakawa fans for their pleasant banter with linesman Jude Kalemera, whose no nonsense approach to the game was appreciated by the students. This time round we give a frown to their parent institution Makerere University Kampala (Mak)’s fans. In stark contrast to Mubs fans, who celebrated Kalemera’s good service to the game, the Mak ones instead beat up Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi striker Alex Katumba. His crime? Scoring a brace as his side lost 3-2 away at the Ivory Tower. Even the meanest of fans would be pleased with such a player. Unless of course they are from Makerere! Not even a rallying cry from the Mak players and a brave interjection from the Nkozi fans were enough to stop the indiscipline.
