Kabale Strike – 50 Expelled

Fifty students have been expelled from Kabale Trinity College following Monday’s violent strike.

The students, protesting poor meals and alleged torture by teachers, destroyed school property, prompting heavy police deployment.

On Wednesday, students rejected the school breakfast and skipped classes. Police said students accused school administrators of endorsing the use of electric wires in caning students and denying them special meals for Easter. School director Joab Tumwebarize said 50 masterminds of the strike were expelled.
